... oh, and we won an award 🤗
Prize-winning author Francis Spufford was an atheist for over 20 years before finding his way back to faith. His book 'Unapologetic: Why, despite everything, Christianity can still make surprising emotional sense' was an unconventional response to New Atheism.
Hollywood screenwriter and bestselling novelist Andrew Klavan, also came to Christian faith as an adult from a secular Jewish background - a story he tells in his autobiography 'The Great Good Thing'.
I hear both their conversion stories in the latest bonus edition of the Surprising Rebirth podcast. The documentary format resumes next time.

Speaking to Oxford University students on the case for God and the resurrection
I was delighted to be invited to give two lunchtime talks during Events Week for the Oxford Inter Collegiate Christian Union during February. In my first talk I spoke about why God makes sense of human existence, value and purpose. In my second talk I made an historical argument for the truth of the resurrection.
Hundreds of students, both with and without faith, packed out the venue and asked lots of great questions during the Q&A. I was also able to continue conversations with seekers and skeptics after each talk and give away a number of books to those who wanted them.
Thanks to those of you who prayed for these talks. Please continue to pray for fruit from the seeds that were sown across these two days.
I’m glad to be receiving more and more invitations to speak to students, skeptics and seekers in these kinds of environments, and offer myself freely to the student groups who ask. If you’d like to consider supporting my speaking work, alongside my other projects, please click here.
Podcast receives Zenger Award
One last thing… we received unexpected news this past week that The Surprising Rebirth Of Belief In God podcast has won an award!
The Zenger Prize was established to promote ‘biblically objective journalism’ and to ‘honor journalists and other creators who uncover under-reported stories, do street-level reporting that accurately shows the world as it is, or shed light on issues that have often been misreported’.
We are honoured to have been been selected as one of 10 recipients of the prize this year! We’ll post the official announcement in due course.
That’s all for now - thanks for reading, listening and being part of our Think Faith journey
